The Project

August is an active holding company with a diverse portfolio ranging from manufacturing and wholesale to retail and real estate. Unique in its field, August works closely with its companies to ensure sustained growth long after acquisition. As a result, they required a strong visual identity that conveys dependability, integrity, and commitment.

These designs were created on a sub-contract basis for Concerto Marketing, who were responsible for project management, brand strategy, and art direction.

The identity

August’s existing brand was bright and dynamic, but they needed a new visual identity with more gravitas. A rich ruby was selected as the primary brand colour, evoking themes of tradition, prosperity, and passion.

The existing logo type treatment was retained, but paired with a new brand mark – a stylized infinity sign that promises ongoing growth and profitability.

The Deliverables

In addition to a new logo and brand guide, designs were created for business cards, presentation folders, and brochures. The August website was also redesigned to incorporate beautiful engaging photos and dynamic, multi-layered layouts.
