BRAND IDENTITY / WEB DESIGN
August is an active holding company with a diverse portfolio spanning manufacturing, wholesale, retail, and real estate. Distinct in its long-term, hands-on approach, August works closely with its companies to support sustained growth well beyond acquisition. The brand required a visual identity that reflected this commitment—one that conveyed dependability, integrity, and longevity.
A New Identity
While August’s existing identity was bright and energetic, the goal was to introduce greater gravitas and refinement. The updated visual system centers on a rich ruby palette, chosen to evoke tradition, prosperity, and passion, while maintaining a sense of confidence and restraint.
The existing logo typography was retained to preserve brand recognition, then refined and paired with a new brand mark: a stylized infinity symbol. This mark references both ongoing growth and the company name (“August”, the 8th month), reinforcing the idea of long-term partnership and continuity.
Supporting Deliverables
Beyond the core identity and brand guidelines, the work extended across a range of applications, including business cards, corporate stationary, and brochures. The August website was also redesigned to reflect the new visual direction, incorporating engaging photography and dynamic, layered layouts to bring the brand’s values and investment philosophy to life.
